Yeah, because being able to afford a 1,500 square foot house is the
same as being able to own your own island.
Look, we just have different definitions of "rich". Your definition apparently involves having to move to a lower cost neighborhood to afford a below average sized home. Mine does not.
I'm not saying someone with $400K annual income struggles to make ends meet or that anyone should feel sorry for them... but for someone making $400K in SFO or NYC, their lifestyle does not fit what most people think of when they think of the rich.
Where are you from btw? Have you EVER lived in a high cost area?
